Synthetic Relationships

Whenever I stopped by arcade in my hometown, there was always a punch machine. However, every traditional punch machine is based in off-line so as a collaborative teamwork with Kerwin, we rendered this off-line entertainment into multiplayable one, Therefore, we made a diagram with an analysis on the mechanism of generic arcade games.

Basically, we installed a button for starting the game, a LCD for displaying the shared results and finally a pressure sensor for punching.

While we were building the system, we became very nostalgic of our childhood in a hometown arcade.

Even though we felt a little challenge on sharing the pressure values, the process looked not that hard as expected.

However, the main challenge was the power supply.

Due to required voltage, we had to find a stable battery to run the device.

Nevertheless, while Kerwin was working on technical issues, I was taking charge of schedules and making appointments with faculties for advises.

Among the busy schedules, I made it to secure their liaisons for helpful assistance.

In spite of my lack in technical skills, I made use of my sociability and punctuality for seamless efficiency in the progress.

Meanwhile, we learned how to utilize teammates’ strong points for the best team work.
